Irradiated red blood cell fluid – LR “Nisseki” from the Japanese Red Cross Society is a human red blood cell fluid, with each bag derived from 200 mL of blood (YJ_code: 6342410X3032). This irradiated cellular component is used to prevent transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease (TA-GVHD) in vulnerable patients, such as those who are immunocompromised.
